THE WAR MEMORIAL was inspired by the monument by that name found on the shores of Lake Ontario in Kingston, Ontario. Th music has a Celtic flavour reflecting the background of the Kingston families whose fallen sons are honoured. Distant drums and cannons remind us of a sorrowful past but the bells toll for a brighter future.
